Night Life

One of the most common questions I get asked by tourists is where are the best spots in town to go out at night?

And before going any further, I want to make it clear that all though La Spezia offers a vibrant nightlife, La Spezia is not a party place, so if you are looking for discos that are open to the early morning and rave parties, you have come to the wrong place.

Having said that, I still think La Spezia nightlife has something to offer for every age and interests. The nightlife mainly evolves around the city center and at the port of La Spezia.

- Bars and Cafes, I recommend starting your evening the Italian way with an aperitif before dinner in one of the many cozy bars around town. Sip a refreshing Aperol Spritz and taste some traditional finger food while mingling with the locals and fellow travelers.

-Live Music Venues: La Spezia boasts several venues that host live music performances, especially during the summer. This is also true for Porto Venere, Lerici and Le Grazie.

Pubs: if you're in the mood for a more spirited night out, head to one of the town's pubs, it's also a perfect way to watch football matches with a cold pint.

Night Markets and Festivals - Depending on the season, you may also stumble upon night markets or street festivals offering a lively mix of food, drinks, and entertainment. These events provide a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and join in the festivities.

If you are looking for the big discos that are open the the early morning, I would look into visiting Forte Dei Marmi, which is well known for its nightlife and discos.
